Brave - Designing and Developing a Character - Merida

For Brave, the team at Pixar had to deal with a hero or rather heroine, who is on screen for almost every shot, but who needed wild, yet beautiful hair. The simulation department needed to develop a technique and ,the Princess Merida’s hair was almost a three year process to get correct. Earlier hair such as for the characters in The Incredibles had much more groomed hair, but here the character’s hair simulation needed to solve how to get this messy, tempestuous and unpredictable look while still looking attractive and flowing nicely with the animation.

CBS/Chellozone Full Rebrand BY Studio HANSA

After months of work, Studio Hansa are pleased to announce the launch of the complete rebrand of CBS Chellozone’s portfolio of TV channels across EMEA.
After completing an extensive brand audit with the management team of CBS Chellozone, Studio Hansa worked to devise and create a total strategic rebrand that took the essence of the colour-based theme of the previous identity but moved it on.
As one of the most famous media brands in the world, The CBS eye logo achieves instant global recognition. It is  a design classic. It was decided that the identity should be uncontrived in the use of the logo and the identity evolved to show views into fantastic worlds contained in rooms.
The device by which this is done is a portal – CBS has given a glimpse into a fantastic alternate space,
an epic adventure, yet the CBS logo remains simple, elegant and understated.
The logo does not entertain. it is a gateway or endorsement to spectacular entertainment.
A true cross media project, we worked with a host of talented collaborators (See credits) to fulfil the brand idea across on-air, off-air, print and digital. From epic film shoots to cutting edge cgi,
the project was a joy for all involved.
